Considering that Cloud City takes up a decent percentage of the screen-time in The Empire Strikes Back (aka Episode V) that’s a pretty dismal show over a 15 year period in my opinion 7111, 8012, 7252, 624 to name just a few!) and yet whilst we’ve had multiple Droid carriers, AT-ATs, AT-STs, X-Wings, Y-Wings etc, if I recall correctly there’s only been three previous Cloud City-based sets:įirstly, we had 7119 (Twin-Pod Cloud Car) which although adorable is seriously out-dated, 10123 (Cloud City) which is looking similarly a little ‘tired’ these days if I’m being honest, and finally 9678 (Twin-Pod Cloud Car & Bespin) which was released in 2012. Several of which seem to have very little appeal to anyone (e.g. I’ve said it before, but I really don’t understand TLG’s apparent disinterest for Cloud City, especially when you consider the huge array of sets that have been made since 1999.
